My Expertise & Experience
Lothian Pension Fund
I was also very grateful for the time I spent at Lothian - 8 years in total, covering three very different roles. After starting off as an investment administrator, I moved on to become an Investment Officer after my first year, before returning to head up the in-house investment administration team as Head of Settlement & Systems.
Experience & Expertise gained:
Investment Officer - active management of a £200 million UK equity portfolio, close involvement in making proxy voting decisions on companies held by the Fund, production of performance measurement information on the Fund's external investment managers, and at a total Fund level, monitoring the Fund's external managers, and being involved in the invesment manager selection process.
Head of Settlement & Systems - negotiated discount in global custodian fees, and improved Service Levels, redesign and reinstatement of Staff Appraisal Scheme, creation and development of a Staff Performance Measurement function, successful clearing of a large backlog of investment administration informationa and production of final accounts on time, secondment to Corporate Strategy Implementation Groups on Staff Initiatives and the Council Human Resources Implementation plan, and coordinating the creation of the Divisional Business Continuity Plan and Risk Register.
